Physical Therapy

UniversaCare’s in-home physical therapy helps clients regain strength, balance and mobility without leaving home. Licensed physical therapists build a plan around your diagnosis, your doctor’s orders and your goals – walking confidently after surgery, reducing fall risk or managing a chronic condition. Skilled services are provided under physician orders and registered nurse supervision; in Connecticut they are delivered through There For You Home Care Services, a division of UniversaCare.

What does in-home physical therapy include?

  • Evaluation of strength, range of motion, balance and gait

  • Therapeutic exercise tailored to your condition and goals

  • Post-surgical rehab after joint replacement, fracture or hospitalization

  • Fall-risk assessment and home safety recommendations

  • Training with walkers, canes and other mobility aids

  • Progress reporting to your physician and family
