Home Health Aide (HHA) Job in Westchester County, NY
UniversaCare is hiring home health aides to provide care to clients in their own homes across Westchester County, including White Plains, Yonkers, Mount Vernon, New Rochelle, Rye and surrounding towns. This is a field position: you’ll travel to clients’ homes, not work in an office. Hiring, onboarding and support are handled by our UniversaCare of Westchester office at 6 Gramatan Ave, Suite 609, Mount Vernon, NY 10550.
Pay: $19.65 to $25 per hour. The starting rate is New York’s home health aide minimum wage and rises each year with it.
Schedule: Part-time and full-time, with day, evening and weekend shifts.
What you’ll do
- Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and moving safely around the home
- Give medication reminders and help with daily living activities
- Go with clients to appointments as needed
- Document care and report changes in a client’s condition to your nurse supervisor
What you need
- A current New York State Home Health Aide certificate
- Current physical and medical documents (within the last 12 months)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role
- Driving is preferred but not required
