Homemaker and Companion Job in Waterbury, CT
UniversaCare is hiring a homemaker and companion to provide care to clients in their own homes in Waterbury and Litchfield County. This is a field position: you’ll travel to clients’ homes, not work in an office. Hiring, onboarding and support are handled by our UniversaCare of Central Connecticut office at 534 Frost Road, 2nd Floor, Waterbury, CT 06705.
Pay: $16.94 to $25 per hour.
Schedule: Part-time and full-time.
What you’ll do
- Provide companionship, conversation and activities
- Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
- Run errands and go with clients to appointments
- Help clients keep a safe, steady daily routine
What you need
- A caring attitude and reliability; caregiving experience is a plus
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role
