Homemaker and Companion Job in Hamden, CT
UniversaCare is hiring a homemaker and companion to provide care to clients in their own homes in New Haven County. This is a field position: you’ll travel to clients’ homes, not work in an office. Hiring, onboarding and support are handled by our UniversaCare of Connecticut – Hamden office at 119 Sanford Street, 2nd Floor, Hamden, CT 06514.
Pay: $16.94 to $25 per hour.
Schedule: Part-time and full-time.
What you’ll do
- Provide companionship, conversation and activities
- Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
- Run errands and go with clients to appointments
- Help clients keep a safe, steady daily routine
What you need
- A caring attitude and reliability; caregiving experience is a plus
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Completion of the background check and health screening required for the role
